Materials

 

We only use A-grade materials of high quality.  Carcasses is manufactured from double faced white A-grade melamine board, edged with 1mm edging to match the colour of the doors, all visible sides is manufactured of the same colour melamine / wrap / veneer, etc. as the doors (no white visible sides).

 

Each of our suppliers of hardware and accessories are specialists in their fields and are well qualified, experienced on all frontiers to deal with clients effectively, professionally and efficiently.

Melamine / Impact Doors

Melamine board is a very versatile material, lending itself to many applications such as the manufacturing of cupboards, doors and office furniture. The main advantages are:

  • Variety of colours, including plain colours and woodgrain colours;

  • Easy to clean, scratch resistant and maintenance free;

  • Availability;

  • Reduction in cost; and

  • Quicker manufacturing times.

2mm Impact Doors is manufactured from Double Face Melamine chipboard, edged with 2mm PVC edging to match the melamine/contrast colour.

​Wrap

Vinyl wrap doors are a very durable product,  they are commonly used to create a modern  look as they are simple, elegant and they are easy to keep clean. Thr Supawood (MDF), which are used for wrap doors, is a versatile material and any designer's dream.  A multitude of patterns and designs can be applied to it. A wide selection of vinyal wrap colors and styles are available, and is wrapped through heat and bonded with high performance adhesives to simulate solid wood or any other material on the Supawood.  

Veneer​

Timber veneer board is a thin layer of 1mm timber of uniform thickness. It is formed by either slicing or rotary peeling. It is then glued to a board, such as particleboard, MDF board or plywood. It produces a decorative board that is easier to use, more cost effective and is more environmentally friendly than using solid timber.Timber veneer board is used to make domestic and commercial furniture, kitchen and boat building cabinetry, and shopfitting of retail outlets and commercial offices. It can also be used as wall and ceiling linings.

 

Veneer Doors are manufactured from double faced Veneered Chipboard (the chipboard is laminated with 1mm wood veneer on both sides) and then edged with 2mm solid veneer edging to match the board, thereafter it is either varnished or varnished and stained.

MDF (Supawood)​

Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) is a wood substitute form which is made from fine wood fibres in a resin which is bonded under heat and pressure. It is manufactured by a dry process at a lower temperature than other fibreboards. MDF is dense, flat, stiff, has no knots and is easily machined, because it is made up of fine particles and therefore does not have an easily recognisable surface grain. 


Can be obtained in natural (brown) colour in various thicknesses and requires sealing for moisture protection.

Semi-Solid

Semi-Solid Doors are manufactured from a 22mm thick x 65mm wide Solid Wood frame with a double faced 9mm Veneer Chipboard inlay in the centre. Semi-Solid doors has a flat centre inlay, unlike the solid doors that has a raised panel.

 

Semi-Solid Doors is available in various woodtypes and the solid frame can be profiled in various shapes.

Solid

Solid Doors are manufactured from a 22mm thick x 65mm wide Solid Wood frame with a 16mm Solid Wood Raised Paneld inlay in the centre.

Duco / Paint Technique

High Gloss / Matt Duco is available in any colour and is applied to MDF Shaker Doors and MDF Square Raised Panel Doors or Single Face Flat MDF. 

  • MDF Square Raised Panel Doors are manufactured from raw 22mm x 65mm MDF Frames and a 16mm profiled inlay in the centre.

  • MDF Shaker Doors are manufactured from raw 16mm Single Faced MDF, framed with 65mm x 3mm Raw MDF overlay over the 16mm MDF.

  • High Gloss Duco are preferably done one a flat surface for a smooth and even finish, in any colour you can possibly think of.

  • Paint Technique can be done on MDF or any other suitable matrial, in limitless colours and techniques to get finishes required.
